What is Holistic Law?

Holistic law is a legal approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of life and seeks to promote harmony and balance between them. It is based on the belief that the law should consider not only the legal and economic factors, but also the social, environmental, and spiritual factors that affect human life and the natural world.

Holistic law takes into account the whole person, their relationships, and their context, rather than simply focusing on their legal status or actions. It emphasizes the importance of listening, empathy, and compassion in legal decision-making, and encourages a collaborative and cooperative approach to resolving disputes.

Holistic law is often associated with alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation and restorative justice, which prioritize dialogue and understanding over punishment and retribution. It is also closely linked to the concept of sustainable development, which seeks to balance economic growth with social and environmental considerations.

I have been privileged to work all over the world with many different cultures and individuals from all spheres of life.

Separation and Divorce is the closing of one door, and the opening of another. Change is hard but the future is yours to write it as you will. You may no longer be a couple, but if the two of you have children, the relationship you have with your ex will still be one of the most important relationships in your life.

“When two people decide to get a divorce, it isn’t a sign that they ‘don’t understand’ one another, but a sign that they have, at least, begun to.” — Helen Rowland

Our Services

Family Law - Parenting

When relationships end, the most important question is always: what is best for the children? At Holistic Law, we place the needs of children at the centre of everything we do. Our focus is on creating parenting arrangements that provide stability, safety, and meaningful relationships with both parents wherever possible.

We understand that every family is unique. For some, this may mean a carefully structured Parenting Plan that sets out day-to-day care, school holidays, and special occasions. For others, it may require formal Parenting Orders from the Court. Whichever path is right for your family, we will guide you with empathy and practical advice.

Our approach is to resolve disputes cooperatively and outside the courtroom whenever possible. By encouraging communication and focusing on solutions rather than conflict, we help parents build sustainable co-parenting relationships that last well beyond the legal process.

We also recognise that parenting challenges don’t only arise between 9 to 5. That’s why we are available to support our clients seven days a week—ensuring you have guidance when you need it most.

At Holistic Law, our aim is to help you move forward with a clear plan that puts your children’s well-being first, reduces stress, and lays the foundation for a positive future.

Family Law - Property

Separating your financial lives can feel just as challenging as navigating parenting arrangements. Property settlements are often complex, involving not only the family home but also superannuation, businesses, trusts, investments, vehicles, debts, and even overseas assets. At Holistic Law, we bring clarity to this process and help you achieve a fair and sustainable outcome.

What makes our firm different is that our Principal is not only an experienced family lawyer but also a Chartered Accountant. This dual expertise means we can look beyond the surface, providing a deeper understanding of the financial issues that often make settlements complicated.

We also understand the emotional weight that financial uncertainty brings. That’s why we take a holistic approach—explaining your options in plain language, helping you plan for the future, and working towards solutions that promote financial security and peace of mind.

Wherever possible, we aim to resolve matters outside of court through negotiation or mediation, saving you time, stress, and unnecessary expense. However, if court proceedings are required, we are ready to advocate firmly for your best interests.

At Holistic Law, our goal is simple: to guide you through property settlement with professionalism, care, and a clear strategy, so you can move forward with confidence.
